MARY KATRANTZOU MEDIUM TOTE BAG

As part of its ongoing support for “ELPIDA-Association of Friends of Children with cancer”, Mary Katrantzou has created an exclusive print inspired by the iconic Paint-by-Numbers design from the Spring/Summer 2018 collection.

This new design was developed through a creative dialogue with members of the ELPIDA Association and incorporates sunflowers – the favorite flower of the Association’s Founder, Marianna V. Vardinoyannis. With its signature nostalgic charm and intricate detailing, the print is featured on a limited-edition tote bag, designed to support ELPIDA’s mission and offer assistance to children with cancer and their families.

The tote has been ethically crafted using sustainable materials, promoting reuse, reducing plastic consumption, and empowering female entrepreneurship. It was produced in collaboration with Bags of Ethics, a partner Mary Katrantzou has previously worked with as part of the British Fashion Council’s NEWGEN30 anniversary initiative.

This project continues the long-standing partnership between Mary Katrantzou and the ELPIDA Association, which began with the memorable Spring/Summer 2020 fashion show at the Temple of Poseidon — a tribute to resilience, hope, and the power of collective strength, marking the Association’s 30th anniversary.

Crafted from premium-quality 100% cotton canvas sourced from naturally irrigated farms in India, this bag is a testament to sustainable design, exceptional craftsmanship, and environmental consciousness. Printed with non-toxic inks compliant with REACH regulations, it features an inner message of sustainability.

Designed with everyday functionality in mind, it includes padded handles for enhanced comfort, a metal-studded base for added stability, and an interior zip pocket for secure storage. The piece is completed with a collaboration label, harmoniously combining eco-awareness with refined aesthetics.
