“ELPIDA ASSOCIATION OF FRIENDS OF CHILDREN WITH CANCER” (hereafter “ELPIDA”), as legally represented, is the sole administrator of the website https://www.eshop.elpida.org (hereafter the “eshop” or the “website”), which operates as an e-shop for the on-line sale of products. “ELPIDA” has its registered seat in Athens (46 Mikras Asias Street, GR-11527, V.AT. No. 090073271) and holds a Βranch in Athens (1&3 Patriarchou Ioakim Street). The e-shop’s email account is: [email protected] and its customer service phone line is (+30) 210-7253647.
The following terms and conditions apply to the use of the e-shop, thus each user (hereafter “the visitor” or “the user” or “the customer”) will be assumed to declare full acceptance of the terms of use outlined below. In case of disagreement with the website’s terms of use, users are kindly requested to refrain from visiting the website as well as from using its services, including online transactions through the e-shop.
General Terms
Notwithstanding all applicable laws, ”ELPIDA” reserves the right to freely update and/or revise the terms and conditions for the use of the e-shop’s online services and transactions when deemed necessary and undertakes the obligation to notify consumers/users thereof through the Website. All on-line contracts are executed in the Greek language.
Information & Products displayed on the website
“ELPIDA” ensures the accuracy, the truth and the adequacy of all information displayed on the e-shop; notwithstanding applicable legal provisions, “ELPIDA” bears no liability for accidental misinformation and reserves the right of rectification thereof. “ELPIDA” shall notify all customers, when deemed necessary.
Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by laws applicable in on-line transactions, “ELPIDA” bears no liability to compensate customers for any damage or loss caused from the cancellation of orders on behalf of the client, as well as of any accidental non-execution or delay of orders. “ELPIDA” does not guarantee the availability of products displayed on the website, nevertheless customers will be timely informed of products’ availability. All information regarding the e-shop’s products (name, description, pictures, price) are displayed on the website “as is”.
Submission and execution of orders
Order as a guest
Τhe user may order products from the e-shop as a guest, by completing the respective Order Form with true and accurate contact information (including an active e-mail account). If the order is placed by a legal entity, the Tax ID number thereof is also necessary (the validity of which will be automatically certified through VIES system). The user may order products by clicking the “add to cart” button and by choosing the desired quantity of each product. For the purchase to be completed, the user must click the “Proceed to Checkout” box, enter the billing and shipping details, accept the e-shop’s Terms of Use and then click the “Place Order” button. All prices include VAT; shipping expenses are calculated prior to the placement of each order.
Create an account
The user may also create an account in order to place orders and follow their course, by entering a valid email account and a safe password.
Confirmation and Cancellation of orders
Following the placement of your order, an order confirmation will be sent to your e-mail account. In case of unavailability of a product, you will be timely informed via email or phone on the course of your order and the expected delivery thereof.
Should a user wish to cancel an order prior to its shipping, s/he may contact us at (+30) 210-7253647 (Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 16:00 local time) or send an email at [email protected] titled “Cancellation of Order”. “ELPIDA” will then proceed to the cancellation of the order and send a relevant email notice to the user. Please refer to Section “Right to withdrawal – Returns of Products” below, regarding the refund process of cancelled orders.
Delivery of order
Deliveries of orders take place during working days (Monday to Friday). We execute deliveries of products in Greece, Cyprus, as well as in all European and non-European Countries. “ELPIDA” reserves the right to delegate delivery to any courier or forwarder company, with all appropriate contractual terms which guarantee the safe delivery of products, in accordance with the applicable legislation.
Orders are delivered with the appropriate dispatch note and payment receipt/invoice. Users are kindly requested to contact us at (+30) 210-7253647 or send an e-mail at [email protected] in case the payment receipt/invoice has not been delivered to them. According to the applicable laws, the ownership of the product passes to the buyer upon payment and the risk thereof upon delivery.
Shipping costs amount to 5 € for all deliveries within the Greek territory. The price-list of the delegated courier company will apply to deliveries outside the Greek territory. The user is informed thereof prior to the placement of the order.
Deliveries to the Greek Territory
Following the packaging of purchased products from “ELPIDA” (hereafter “the packaging”), orders will be delivered from the courier company within 1-3 working days to clients residing in Attika and within 2-5 working days to clients residing outside Attika. Deadlines may be extended in case of product unavailability, delivery to hard-to-reach regions or force majure conditions, as described below.
Deliveries of personalized products are executed after their preparation from “ELPIDA”. Clients are informed of the time required for the personalization of each product prior to the placement of their order.
Deliveries to Cyprus
Orders are delivered to Cyprus within 2-5 working days from packaging. Clients residing in hard-to-reach regions may be requested to receive their order from the nearest delivery point, upon prior notice.
Deliveries to European Countries
Orders are delivered to European Countries within 1-6 working days from packaging.
Deliveries to non-European Countries
Orders are delivered to non-European Countries within 1-8 working days from packaging.
Please note that delivery delays may occur for the following reasons:
- There is a delay of delivery from the supplier of the product: In this case, the user will be contacted immediately, in order to confirm whether s/he wishes to receive the product when available or a refund instead.
- Extreme weather conditions, strikes, force majure: Should any of the above circumstances occur, there might be a delay of deliveries. All restrictions implemented during the COVID-19 outbreak are deemed as force majure Please note that there is a great possibility of delay due to these restrictions. “ELPIDA” will make all reasonable efforts to timely execute all orders during the pandemic period, however the accuracy of delivery deadlines cannot be guaranteed.
- Inability to communicate with a client: In case communication with a client via phone or e-mail proves impossible despite all efforts (e.g. there is a problem with the products ordered and/or the payment thereof and the clients’ contact details are not valid).

The e-shop provides the following payment options:

Right to withdrawal – Returns of Products
Customers have the right to return the purchased products free of charge (and request an exchange or a refund), within fourteen (14) working days from the delivery date thereof. Customers shall only be charged for shipping costs. Please note that customized products are non-refundable or exchangeable.
Returns of products are accepted under the following terms:
- The packaging of the product is intact.
- In case of a mistaken delivery, returns are accepted provided “ELPIDA” is notified within two (2) working days. In this case you will get a full refund of the value of the product and the shipping expenses.
- If there was no mistake in the delivery on behalf of “ELPIDA”, only the value of the product shall be refunded, whereas customers shall bear the shipping costs.
- Customers requesting a refund must provide “ELPIDA” with a valid bank account number.
- The payment receipt or invoice must be sent along with the returned products. In case of an invoice, the dispatch note must also be returned.
Customers who wish to return products to “ELPIDA” must address an email at [email protected] within fourteen (14) working days from delivery under the title “Withdrawal request”. Said request must include the following information: date and number of order or the number of the dispatch note and the payment receipt or invoice. Please address this email prior to the shipping of the products you wish to return.
“ELPIDA” reserves the right to reject returns of products which do not comply with all the above terms. Please make sure to address a withdrawal and refund request only if products meet the above terms and the returned products are suitable for re-selling.
The customer is solely responsible for the shipping of the retuned products, whereas “ELPIDA” is unable to trace parcels in any courier/ shipping company.
For your convenience, please check the good state of the products and their packaging at the time of delivery, for obvious faults (e.g. broken products). Please notify us of any actual fault in the delivered products by contacting us immediately or during the next working day via phone at (+30) 210-7253647 (Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 16:00) or via email at [email protected] . The provisions of the Greek Civil Code apply with respect to actual faults and lack of agreed properties of the products.
ELPIDA shall refund customers for returned products within a period of thirty days from their receipt, with a deposit of their value to the bank account provided from the client.
Αpplicable Law-Dispute Resolution-Jurisdiction
Τhe Greek laws shall apply to the on-line contracts executed through the e-shop; all relevant disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Greek Courts.

The Website and the Material’s intellectual and/or industrial property rights belong to “ELPIDA” and are protected by the relevant national, EU and international legal framework on intellectual and industrial property.
The use of the Website is subject to the present Terms of Use (hereafter “the Terms of Use”) as anytime in force, and requires the agreement of any user of the Website in relation to the use thereof (hereafter “the User” or “the Users”).
